"Gentle Hands" started as a scrapbook I made for my daughter when I was unable to find the book I was hoping for. My toddler was learning how to be gentle with her hands. I had noticed that she learned well from books, if positive behaviour was modeled. However, most of the books I was able to find on the topic were about not hitting. My daughter wasn't hitting, but was doing other not-so-gentle things. So I needed a positive resource that would speak more generally to being kind with one's hands. "Gentle Hands" was born as a home-made learning resource. My daughter responded so well to it, that I decided that other families could benefit from it as well.
The book uses bold colours and simple text that is sure to keep the youngest readers' attention.
With realistic images of daily situations, the book is a great resource for Montessori learning and gentle parenting.
